Itinerary
Most of our tour itineraries & packages are private as we aim to clear the ground for purely cultural experiences while maintaining the delivery of personal service. However, we may take shared bookings on some occasions when the group (maximum 8) is already set. The featured price can change based on the number of passengers & the category of the desert camp.
Day 1 – Fes – Ifran – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga
After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad, your private driver/guide will take you on a journey of a lifetime experience. This private 3 day desert trip from Fes to Marrakech will allow you to explore different landscapes beginning with a drive through the UNESCO-preserved Cedar Forest of the Middle Atlas. The forest hosts a colony of endangered Barbary Apes that you might see and feed.
You’ll continue on the track further south through Midelt, the snaky road of the High Atlas Mountains, Ziz Gorge, and the lush Ziz Valley with its palm trees. You’ll then cross Erfoud to the Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi where an ocean of golden sand dunes can be seen from afar. You’ll have a journey on a camel for the sunset view, then get back to the desert camp for a nice dinner. The meal is followed by a time of entertainment before culminating the long day with a relaxing sleep in the tent or under the stars.

Day 2 – Merzouga – Tinejdad – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Early wake in the morning to attend the majestic view of sunrise atop the sand dune. Enjoy your breakfast under the sunlight, and have a refreshing shower before heading west to Dades Valley. You’ll include a short break in Erfoud, famous for the traditional date market & fossil factories. Drive through Tinejdad to the lush palm valley of Todra. Stretch your legs in the gorge (canyon) while enjoying the cooler breeze, then continue on the track further west to the Dades Valley.
- Overnight accommodation in Hotel Babylon, Ksar Sultan, Xaluca Dades, or similar – dinner and breakfast are included.
Day 3 – Dades Valley – Skoura – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech
After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad, you’ll head further west through Skoura, Ouarzazate with a possibility to visit the local Atlas Film Studios that brought fame to the city. You’ll include a guided walking tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou.
This village consists of a number of Kasbahs (fortresses) & has been used as a backdrop for shooting numerous Hollywood Movies including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, Prince of Persia, Kingdom of Heaven, and many others.
You’ll then drive through the High Atlas Mountains crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2267 m), We “ll include many short breaks for bathrooms and for taking pictures before getting to Marrakech in the late afternoon.
As always, we’ll make sure to get to your place safely and in style. We’ll drop you off in your hotel but if it’s inaccessible for the car, then we’ll arrange with the staff members of the Riad you are staying in to come escort you.
